Eat the cupcake, buy the earrings.

Hey Diary of a Christian Law Lady Lover!❤️

I’m particularly excited to be writing this to you because today makes it 5 months since I began blogging and really looking at it, I blog because you are (p.s; you’re free to read this in a romantic tone).

The title for today’s blog post was inspired by Joyce Meyers book “Eat the cookie, buy the shoes”. I guess we can infer that I love cakes and earrings just as much as Joyce loves her cookies and shoes.

So since this is a like a 5 months celebration post, today’s post is basically to tell you my love that you’re worth celebrating and you should celebrate yourself.

Sometimes, we look through our lives and it appears like we’ve not kept up with giving as much as we should in getting to the Grand place we want to be. However, it’s so important to know that even on those days when we don’t give as much as we should, beating up ourselves isn’t the way to keep at our goals.

You broke your diet plans? Woke up two hours past time? Slept off and woke up an hour to your submission deadline? Or whatever it is that you could do that would get you mad at yourself.😬

In all these, as much as it looks like you messed up a little, it’s important that we know that God isn’t keeping a record of each time we fall, but He is excited about our progress, and we should be excited about it too!

Truth is, in your daily commitments to doing the things you love to do, you’re not where you used to be when you first started, and that’s worth celebrating. Therefore, when one bad day makes it seem like there’s a break in your consistency, don’t sit in that state and sulk. Take the break you need, put the goal in front of you and keep it at it.

If there’s one thing I can be very real with you about, it’s that everyday I take my life as a gift from God to start anew. Not that I forget the lessons or details from the previous days, but that I know that it’s a new day and I’m receiving all of God’s grace for today regardless of what happened with me on every other day.

Simply, receive the grace for each new day by staying focused on your goal. Then when you miss a day or two, it’s not an excuse to slack. Pick up, restart and refire!

Now, to my cupcake story.

One major reason why days when we faint may be reoccurring is because we hardly take a moment to celebrate ourselves. The truth is your mind loves a reward for a job well done and that’s where the cupcake comes in.

When you take a whole year fasting off cakes, and one day you unconsciously take a bite from a piece of cake, there’s a possibility of you feeling guilty about it. However, you have not been built for guilt. Christ got rid of that already.

It’s very important that you take out moments to celebrate your wins and progress. In these moments you get to eat the cupcake with no guilt cos it’s time off.💃🕺 Give yourself some commendation, go shopping (personally I love earrings shopping), anything that’s amazing and makes you happy.

The goal is to remind yourself that you’re worth celebrating because you really are ✨.

Thank you for reading my blog today. Right now, as I write, I’m planning the cupcake and earrings celebration I’ll host for myself next week.

Cheers to five months of me blogging and you reading my blogs🥂

Cheers to many more years of amazing blogs to come🥂

I spent minutes deciding on a picture btw. But this is cute☺️
