Heyyy Diary of a Christian Law Lady Lover!
This is my first Blog post to you this year, so Happy New Year to you❤️
I have been anticipating what my first message to you this year will be, gladly I turned 23 yesterday and the new age is the perfect redeeming grace I needed to wish you a Happy New Year 🤗

Today’s blog promises to be very interesting. It’s a story about me, your favorite blogger and latest birthday girl💃. So, sit back, grab a snack (maybe), and enjoy!
Yearly, on the 14th of February, I celebrate my birthday. I particularly like having my birthday on the day when love is celebrated cos it saves me from hearing all the hype and noise from romantic lovers (Trust me I love y’all but, like I said it’s my focus, not that other focuses are wrong 🙃). I’m super focused on God’s love on my birthday and yesterday was no different (believe it or not😌).
I think the one thing that cracks me up the most is when people find out my birthday and follow up with the question; ‘Is your name Valentina?’.
So, today to save you some trouble and any future questions about why I wasn’t named Valentina. I’ll be sharing the story of how I was born ( I may chip in some of my best birthday memories too. The latest is the best so far!)
On the 14th of February, 2000, my mom ( who is a very adorable and strong woman) began to feel a little uneasy ( you know all that comes with labor et al ). It was Valentine’s day that year and my Dad was still at work. She checked the time and decided to go down to the hospital just in case the baby was coming and before things got more intense.
When Mom got to the hospital, she told the doctor what was up. She wasn’t fully in labor mode but, I had stayed past the nine months count and the chances that I was coming out were higher. While the doctor was trying to set up a few things, mom realized it was Valentine’s day. It was a beautiful discovery for her and if I was attempting to come out that day, then, why not?
Long story short, by evening, Mom had her adorable baby in her arms. It’s funny how my mom didn’t have a name for me yet, so for the next week, I was Baby. My Dad already had a standard Ghanaian name for me “Naakokwe” which means second daughter, so we can say he was more prepared for the naming ceremony a week after. In the middle of getting ready for the naming. All my mom’s friends had reminded her of my birthday day and suggested Valentina as the perfect name (Here’s a shout-out to my mom for not agreeing – A Queen, I Stan❤️).
On the day of the naming, Mom still didn’t have a name for me yet. My elder sister was 2 years and some months at that time. I’m not sure how everything went, but my mom was to write the baby’s name on a paper and submit it. Immediately, she pulled my sister closer to her, and asked, ‘ What will your baby’s name be? ‘ and, like she had been born for that moment, my sister said ” Sandra, mummy! My friend’s name is Sandra, let’s call her Sandra. ” That was it! Names; Sandra Naakokwe Attoh. Check✓
As time went on though, more people adopted the Ghanaian name. My mom confessed to asking my elder sister for help pronouncing my Ghanaian name every time she was asked. Long story short, one day my mom finally gave me her name “Chinonye” it means “God is with me” and it’s interesting how that is the most called name at home now. I guess it takes time to cook up good things, but every one of the names I have, I love. It’s a perfect blend of amazing 😍 Sandra Chinonye Naakokwe Attoh = SACHINA.
There you have it! Finding out the meaning of these names makes it even more amazing.
On birthdays, I can vividly remember my birthdays from when I was 6 years old. I still haven’t decided which I love most between Christmas and my birthday so they share the trophies.
When I was still in high school, my classmates got me drenched with water on my 14th birthday, they gave me gifts so I wasn’t upset about the situation 😂. When I was 12, I was still a little shy. My sister and I had baked a plain round cake for my birthday and I took some to school on the Saturday after my birthday. I was still new at the school so I didn’t know how or who to tell about my birthday. I ended up eating the whole cake on my way home. 🤣🤣
I had the most amazing birthday yesterday, a special shout-out to my CLASFON family and since this Blog is getting too long already. I’ll let pictures say the other words.
Happy birthday to me! Thank you for reading and sharing in my joy. Xoxo 🤗😍🥰
