How are you? I can’t believe that I haven’t written to you for weeks, it’s sometimes surprising how fast time flies🥺! I trust the month of July has been amazing so far, and I pray the next couple of days left in this month will be super productive and rewarding for you.

Today, I’ll be sharing something that I had to learn practically this month. I know you are excited. Let’s get right to it!

Each of us gets instructions from God many times. The instructions may be in line with a desire you have taken to God, which he approves of, and wants you to do, or it could be on something that never came across your mind. God just tells you this is something you should do. You know it so well that it is God leading you to do it. You may or may not want to get it done but you know it has to be done.

I think the way we react to instructions most times is based on how we perceive our readiness or ability. We can either get right into doing it or think ” God you’ve got to be kidding me! How am I supposed to get this done? ”

I have been on each side of the chart, trust me. Somedays I’m so excited about the next thing God says to do, and some other days I almost wish I missed the instructions somehow. Like; ” God! Are you sure about this? Or is it just my mind messing with me?😂 “

You know those instructions that make you want to not know what to do yeah? I got one of those this month. It came with so much certainty and clarity that I just knew it was what God wanted for me and what was best for me, but I doubted that I could do it. It seemed draining in every sense of the word. In my waiting time, a scripture that I had seen a couple of times came back to me;

I’ll run the course you lay out for me if you’ll just show me how.
Psalms 119:32 MSG

I will [not merely walk, but] run the way of Your commandments, when You give me a heart that is willing.
Psalm 119:32 AMPC

I realized as this word came that God truly is even more interested in helping me make sense of my life than I am. He’s also not just interested, but he is willing and able to help me make sense. I took those words on my lips and told God to give me a heart that’s willing. In KJV, the word there is ” enlarge my heart “.

For every time God sets us on a course that seems impossible for us, we must know that he didn’t plan to have us do it by our strength but by his help. We can only do the things that God sends us (especially the ones that get us second-guessing our obedience) when we come to the end of ourselves and receive God’s help.

The best way to qualify the way God sends us on seemingly impossible missions is ” Oranmo nise fayati “, meaning that ” He accompanies us on the errands he sends us “. So rather than doubting if God really thinks you’re cut out for your latest instruction, go back to him and get his help involved.

By the way, on the instruction I got, I got the strength and confidence to face it! My heart was enlarged and God helped me through it. One thing I can say is that we never really feel at ease with ourselves until we agree to follow God’s instructions. We may work our way around it, and get it off our minds, but your growth and satisfaction lie in obedience to those instructions. In the moments where you feel it’s impossible, know that the one who sent you can help you and let him always be involved.
