LIVING FOR ONE AUDIENCE…

Hello!✨

It feels so good to be blogging today! I can bet you missed me, but the good thing is, I missed you even more! It feels like I haven’t blogged in a year🥺

Since it’s the last day of the month of February, today I’ll be sharing something that will help you in the months to come and for the whole of your life. Trust me😉

Life, many times, doesn’t serve us the same vibe and energy we approach it with. By life now, I mean people, and circumstances which are majorly influenced by people. You could attempt to help someone out, and the person reacts in the basest manner, that even when you know love should be your only choice, you very likely would switch your attitude when you see that you aren’t getting the same vibe or energy.

Really, as people we need cheerleaders. It feels so good when you invest time, money, self and a lot into things and those whom you are working with or for recognize your efforts. But somedays no doubt, there may be no commendations whatsoever. You help with a group work and there are no ‘Thank you(s)’, you make dinner and your spouse eats with so much entitlement, or it could even be the kids. All of this with you in the centre doing your all and giving it your best.

This isn’t something new actually, we have David as a perfect example. You may know the story of how David spent some years of his life hiding from Saul. During his hiding stages, groups of men we can qualify as riffraff joined themselves to Him and soon became his mighty army as time went on. One day however, David and his men return to their camp and see that it’s been ravaged with all their wives and children gone. There’s so much weeping in the camp.

In the midst of all the anger and emotions, the men whom David had put up with and trained into great men, out of nowhere suggested that David be stoned. We’d expect that David would flare up or maybe slide into depression seeing the people he had trained rise up against him, but David did something so strange, he encouraged himself in the Lord!

Now, David was someone who lived with so much God consciousness, and it helped him preserve his victorious position even when it seemed like he was failing. David knew that even when those who were supposed to root for him and stand by him were failing, he didn’t need their commendation. The only commendation that mattered to David was from one who had called Him.

One reason why it may seem uneasy to you, to consistently do the things you have been called to do, is probably because you get a little carried away with commendations. Then when they stop coming, you stop moving.

However, we need to learn to forget that which is inferior to the good that is being worked out in us. We will live the best of life, when like Jesus, we learn the truth of laying aside every weight, and enduring through the trials that build patience in us, fully conscious of the victorious position we have at God’s right hand.

Imagine if Jesus let the fact that Peter was lying about knowing Him get to Him. He would have told the Pharisees to wait for a second, walked over to Peter and given him a good slap. But one way Jesus lived was that He lived for one audience, just God.

The key to living victoriously always is recognizing the commendation that matters the most. That is God’s commendation. If all your people are rooting for you, it’s super great! But when you focus on the fact that God who has called you, is pleased that you are walking in His perfect will, then whether you get the commendations of men or not, you keep at it, cos you have the commendation of the one who matters the most!✨🤭

I trust this has helped you a lot.

Never forget that I love you ❤️.

Some prettiness to add to the brightness of your day🌻
