Love Walk. Day 6 >>>> Heroes of Love; Lecrae Moore.

Hello! Welcome to today’s blog post.❤️

It is a fact that many of us have found ourselves in a bad place; one where we don’t seem to understand what direction our lives are moving in. Sometimes, we are utterly confused yet we feel like we have everything under control whereas things are falling apart. We blame ourselves for the bad things that happen in our lives and we work ourselves out; pushing ourselves even more to make things right. Yet all our efforts remain futile.

Now, this write-up is not one to instil negativity but to let us know that even when things seem to be falling apart, we have a remedy, a healing for our broken hearts. So, please follow through.🤗

Using the story of Lecrae Moore, an American Christian rapper, multiple Grammy award winner, and author of Unashamed, who was once in a bad spot where his life was a total mess, we get to understand how God’s tender love is all we need to mend our broken hearts and find our path to liberation.

Lecrae had a very terrible childhood of having to associate with gangster uncles, being exposed to drugs and women, being raised by a single mother without the presence of a ‘father figure’, and having to cope with depression. His struggles got heightened to the point that he had to be taken on rehab and this was the actual moment he found liberation. He found a Father, recognized that the Father loves him, and eventually got his broken heart mended.

The Bible tells us that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). The only way Lecrae found the path to liberation was through Jesus and for one to find a path through Jesus it means that the person first got to hear of the good news (the Word) the same Word of God’s amazing promises that will give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11) that you are reading about. Lacrae, picking up the Gideon Bible at the rehab centre, eventually got his eyes enlightened and saw that he had a helper, a friend, and a father to make his life a lot more beautiful. He got filled with the joy and the love of God that he couldn’t wait a single moment to know more about Jesus who he saw as “more of a Saviour than a Lord”.

Reading through the book of Romans, he understood that he was no longer a slave to the old sinful nature but he was a child of God since he believed in the Word.

The good news of Christ is meant to mend the broken hearts of men, provide freedom to the captives, and to comfort all who mourn (Isaiah 61:1-3). Are you still in a bad place and have tried everything to make things better but just don’t know how? Here is a call for you today: Jesus is always ready to fix you, to mend your heart, to comfort you, and to set you free. Accept his love today and let him flood your heart with light, joy, and peace just like He does with all men who trust His healing power.
