Hello ❤️
Today, I really just want to be as expressive as possible about God’s love and personality. I believe that in seeing God and how Christ lived on the earth, we will see also that through God’s spirit in us we can also become a people of love, just like He is.
Reading through 1 Corinthians 13, we see not just what love is, but also what love is not. That scripture has so much substance, it makes us see that on the long run God’s greatest desire is that all our seeking and serving Him be inspired by love. He’d rather we do the bit we can from love, than do so much with no love. Eventually how much we love doesn’t influence how God feels about us, but it does influence how well we can become the perfect image God has in mind for us. And if we can become all with love, why settle for less?
I’m convinced that having an understanding of God is really the greatest way we can know what love is. And the greatest thing about knowing God, is that we ourselves are getting transformed as we behold Him.
Like Christ as we behold God, His standards become more plain to us and all our desires becomes to do life like God on earth, Christ showed us that this possibility is totally attainable.
God’s love is perfect because He goes all out without counting the cost when He loves. Yes, definitely, it’s a delight to God when we respond back to His love in the affirmative. However, God knows that people have a will and may or may not reciprocate His love but He isn’t swayed by that. His person is love and He gives and gives love, not being afraid of what our response to His love may be.
Sometimes, I look at myself and God’s love just overwhelms me. How often we walk away from Him, but He never walks away from us? Daily He loves us, He’s never scarred by our responses. God’s love is perfect, there’s no fear in it! That’s why He keeps giving because He knows that when we catch a glimpse of how much the Father loves us, we will cling to it forever.
Beyond finding how much love the God of love has for me, I think the greatest privilege actually is that God made it a possibility for men to love just as he does. It’s not by power, nor by might, but by the Spirit.
This love, inspired by God’s spirit is what kept Jesus on the cross, not those nails. Love made him see the greatest good and place it before his feelings. Now because of His love, all men can be saved and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
Just speaking about God’s love is sooo beautiful. How much more beautiful it is when we walk in it. That’s why God pours out His spirit on all who believe, to enable us know His love and be His love. His spirit enables the unsure like Apostle Peter once was, to now reach out to people and heal them. It enables us to feel the hurts of others and be love to them without counting what’s in it for us.
For every believer, love is a possibility because we have God’s spirit, it’s also a choice too. Today just like your Father, choose love and lean into His grace and let His spirit work out His perfect love in you.❤️
From tomorrow, we will be looking at the stories of a few broken people who found God’s love, found healing and became love themselves. Don’t miss it!!!
P.S: It’s so much of a pleasure to be doing Love Walk with you. Thank youuu for being a part of this ✨✨
